Jordan River Parkway
The Jordan River Parkway is a system of trails that parallel the Jordan River, which runs from Utah Lake to the Great Salt Lake.
Development and maintenance of the trails are divided among Salt Lake County and local municipalities:
- Great Salt Lake to 2100 South - is in the jurisdiction of Salt Lake City.
- 2100 South to 4800 South - belongs to Salt Lake County. The Jordan River Trailhead, Redwood Nature Area, Oxbow, Holm and Forty-eighth (48th) Street are County trailhead parks adjacent to the Parkway. Oxbow park has canoe docks at the river.
- 4800 South to 6200 South - belongs to Murray City.
- 6200 South to 9800 South - belongs to City of West Jordan.
- 9800 South to 10600 South - belongs to Salt Lake County. Parkway trailhead parks and amenities belong to South Jordan City
- 10600 South to 11400 South - South Jordan City
- 11400 South to Utah County border - belongs to Salt Lake County. The Spring View Farms and Jordan Narrows are County trailhead parks adjacent to the Parkway.
All sections of the trail within the County's jurisidiction are paved and have bridges or tunnels at cross streets.
